On every new day, the South Sudanese Afrobeats sound has successfully penetrated the global music market. Today, more than ever before, a list of top musicians has had more international music collaborations flooding the airwaves.
Indeed, there’s amazing music that is being released by Afro-dancehall talent, Warchild Bezzy. The artist has released his latest track, ‘Kata’, featuring Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones.
Kata is a Kiswahili slang for girl or lady, asking her to “shake your waist for me”. Bezzy says the song was created out of a studio conversation with his producer and songwriter. When Khaligraph passed by the studio, he liked the song instantly and wanted to add a verse to it.
“I was excited cause knowing and seeing Jones for the first time and him being the best rapper in Africa. I couldn’t take long to say yes. It was absolutely YES and he put his verse and intro. From there. a collabo came out,” Bezzy says.
His most recent release, titled ‘Alabu’ has already garnered over 200,000 streams on YouTube and continues to rank high on music charts across East Africa.
Kata is now available for streaming on all digital platforms, distributed by Sudo Hits.
